For those of you with an interest in climate change challenges and laws, here today’s publication, in the Energy Quarterly Review, of my critique of the Canadian law that set our CO2 emissions target as net-zero by 2050.

Spoiler Alert: The law does not require achieving the target, merely setting the target. We had that target before this law, so the law is an unnecessary public relations statement masquerading as a law. Its intention is to make us feel good, without doing good.

Thank you. For too long now all the food for thought in this pot has been stuck to the bottom.
